The key for the last 5 years is not what we do or produce. We're kicking ass. The ongoing problem is not about drill baby drill, though could be related to refine baby refine, as our refining capacity and age of our refineries, along with the ones shut for various reasons in the last, has had an effect. More modern refineries are hugely expensive and take 5 years plus to get on line. At the same time, oil industry also competes with expanding renewables. So, nobody in a hurry to increase refine capacity.

But, the snag is the lower production levels of the other oil producing countries, to control volume on international market, in order to keep supplies lower, worldwide, to keep price up. They can get better price at lower volume, at significantly lower cost. Could one or more of them outproduce us with relative ease? Yes. Is it in their financial interest to do so? No.

So, here we are with historic production in our country, selling on the international market, while the other oil producing countries (some government controlled) withhold from the market, have lower labor, construction, drilling and oil related infrastructure cost, but getting premium dollar, and have the ability to raise price at whim.

This is just my take on it.

Do you find among the Democrats any comments with proof about fuel prices in other countries? I have posted them elsewhere from time to time. What happens is to countries say Kuwait and Saudi arabia, their prices at the pump pisses us off seeing them sell fuels to their visitors and citizens at rock bottom prices.

Harris proved she has no ability to Govern. Nothing in her resume sounds like she has a clue. She denied being the Border Czar after Biden put her in charge. She said she went to see the Border in South America. She is not competent at all. She is worse than the lesser of two weevils.

Good read on Harris, in my opinion. But, the machine runs at least at idle, no matter who is sitting in the big chair. Gobs of folks on here have speculated who pulls Joe's strings, whether true or false. It is doubtful she would have done harm, just as almost certain, she would have been ineffectual at doing anything meaningfully good. I understand that in steeplechase sport, their can be very good execution, but get a lower score if the one in the saddle is little more than a rider on the horse's back, instead of a performing jockie. Mind you though, some over zealous jockies can spook a horse, causing to miss a jump or even injuring the horse. I have seen these things in the military, as well as business and it definitely applies to politic. It is part of the reason, I never liked Hillary or Trump, thinking them dangerous.

To be blunt, and honest with this forum, She can't lead. We had a choice between a proven leader with a penchant to brag all the time and a woman who was once a lawyer who lost her election to Biden then he yanked her in on his coattails. She did not deserve to be VP at all.

What did you do in the military? I was a Company Clerk for a Captain in the infantry in Germany. When one works directly for a smart Captain, as I served a very smart Captain, he guarantees we who serve him diligently get rewarded. I served just 2 years and my duty was legally over and yet he would have promoted me to Sgt, just for saying to him, I will stay in the army.

That is an excellent point. Biden knew very well when he attacked the oil industry, it would cost we consumers a hell of a lot more money. He essentially raised taxes in a way of looking at it. He drove up profits at the oil firms is all he did.
