Ohtani won't pitch for the rest of the year due to ligament tear in elbow.

if he needs surgery this will be his second.....the Angel curse strikes again....

Trout is back on IL. Those two were the team hitters.
If I were Trout, I would have moved on and not signed that extension in '19.
It was never going to happen with Moreno at the helm. Now he's wasted his prime years on a losing effort.

I believe this will be 8 consecutive losing seasons. That should have been an indicator in itself.

He went 6 years (almost) since his TJ surgery. The question is, will this tear affect his free agency. I think Yes.

If I were Ohtani, I'd say no. The Angels are out of it and he's walking at the end of the year.
What would be the point?
Well, he did hit his 44th homerun the other night, and has to be a lock to win MVP. If hitting is not bad on his elbow, why not go out there and smash homers?

Trout will likely be dealt at the end of his career to a team in contention and will have to help them win a ring, and get a ring, that way. The Angels will never get there again, it seems.
