Ohio State shutout in the first half against Miami 14-0!

And OSU is out.

I may bet $10 on ALA at 17:1. Ooops ALA already dropped to 14:1

All these teams are good. Just get in the TMT. ND would also have been a threat. They all have a prerty good chance.

ALA has a confidence boost from 2nd half over OKLA. Sympkins turned it on.

Wow just turned it on. Ohio State missed a short field goal just before half.
The offensive play caller for Ohio State got a coaching job, so he did not call the plays, and it showed. It is a real problem in college football as this is common place now. Coaches simply walk at the time when they are needed the most, which is their bowl games and playoff games. That coach cost them the season.

I can't say I'm surprised at the outcome because I remember how bad Ryan Day as head coach was at calling plays, which is why they got someone else to call the plays for him

Once again, Ohio State had better players, but got outcoached.

I look for Georgia to win it all easily.

And still, nobody has anything good to say about Indiana, and that won't change even after they beat the giant, Alabama. Indiana is for real. So is Miami.

Hell no, I think Alabama will absolutely crush them since they barely beat Ohio State who was shown to be a paper tiger.

It's the same old thing in college football as the SEC dominates, just a different year is all.

If Indiana wants respect, they simply have to earn it.

Your post proves my point. I guess we'll see later. But I don't like that Cignetti said they weren't practicing well.

Teams with a 1st round bye are 0-5 in the CFP, it will be interesting if Oregon, Indiana or Georgia lose today, one of them probably will. Alabama might surprise some people today.

I think he sees the writing on the wall.

Not sure if they can get there some day, but it is nice to see them do well as they are.

Alabama, after winning a gazillion NCG's is no surprise to anyone, I can assure you.

:laughing0301:

I suppose the biggest surprise would be being able to beat Georgia this year after Georgia destroyed them.

That is why I pick Georgia.

The NCG belongs to the SEC.

Current bowl game results don't back up your theory. NIL has began to level the field. SEC has already lost 6 games.

Upper SEC like VANDY & MO got dominated at times.

INDY beat ORE at Eugene. ALA is only ordinary in the run game. Sympkins played a perfect 2nd half to beat OKLA.

I am not talking about the entire SEC, I'm talking about the elite SEC teams that continue to dominate, which they still do.

Last year with Ohio State winning was a fluke, and mostly because Saban retired.

Not only did Saban retire, which was a God send for coach Day, Ohio State also got their QB.

Just "Say'in".

:laughing0301:

The only possible success Day could have had is to feed off the fodder of Saban's retirement.

It's becoming so clock dependent (like NFL) in tight games. MIA gets two first downs late and kills off 6 min? You can't fall 2 scores down vs. Good teams.

Beck running thru two DB on 3rd down killed OSU.

Elite ALA struggled to beat MO & AUB making one wonder if they are so much better this year?

GA ALA could still be heads above the rest? But I am pretty sure even Texas Tech has big NFL D-lineman since NIL.

The big news from yesterday was the victory of Texas over Michigan

During the first half of this season UT, including Arch Manning, did not play well

Which led to Texas going 3-2

And the boo birds attacked him - Arch Manning - unmercifully

They said he was overrated and a giant bust

But Manning persevered, and now is playing so well he is a leading candidate for the Heisman Trophy next year

I was one of those attacking him. I thought he was no different than 50 other NCAA QB. Just on a better team. But, Yes he has improved.

So I admit I was too hard on lil' Mr. Ordinary.

There is a ton of good young coaches out there. Northwestern, ASU, DUKE, TX state, on & on so many. Very impressive. No one needs the old guard anymore perhaps?

It seems to be a whole new world since legalized payment, no classes required etc. Every team suddenly has a good 300 lb nose tackle.
