Oh sh$% ! I think I might have to get fusion on my back! What will this mean for my future?! I am SO scared! Last year I had successful back surgery to get rid of a herniated disc and have four more bulging discs. The thing is the one (a fifth other disc) that was worked on last year is now 2/3 of the way crushed! I am to get four weeks of physical therapy in the mean time. But I am SO scared of what this means for my future! I was told by my doctor that fusion was something a person does not want to have happen because it causes problems such as balance issues for the rest of the upper back! I am 42years old with height of 5'9" and 245 pounds. I lost 40 pounds (from weighing 270) real quick over two months last year but went by to my regular diet because my hair was falling out. Ever since I did that as far as I can tell it genuinely quit doing so. (Unfortunately I have gained the fifteen pounds.) I know I need to keep losing weight now again. Sigh. I am just so, so scared. Dealing with this and getting tinnitus on March 1 of this year from the stress of getting prepared for the lockdown.
