Cold is a natural phenomena but heat has to be generated by some source which in our case is the Sun. In geological terms the Ice Age and the subsequent mini ice age wasn't so long ago. The Sun is a relatively unstable nuclear reactor and we should thank God for it's warmth instead of blaming the U.S. for a fiction invented by a disgruntled politician with no scientific background.

If global warming is a religion then any actions on behalf of it have a 1st Amendment right to trump all other US law,

Why does it matter in the slightest what is the cause of global warming? The effects will be the same regardless. Flooding on the Mississippi is a natural event but we still build dams and levees to protect ourselves. Why is global warming any different?
