Obama's average approval rating is heading into the positives fast, Gallup and CNN both released polls with him +3 and +4 respectively. Other polling firms have him in the positives or at a tie as well.

If an updated Associated Press poll comes out with him in the positive, his RCP average will officially be positive.

Much better than anything George Bush could say at this point in his term at least.

Just lol'ed. Obama in many polls has positive approval!!!

Obama did a good job with jobs when you think about it. He didn't do what we need to do with trade and stopping outsourcing of course, but taking real action in those areas is the only ways high paying jobs are coming back.

his "approval rating" is over 47%

you're talking about approval v disapproval.

baby bush had a 23% approval rating when he left office.

and congress has something like a 12% approval rating.

Interesting how his approval goes up the closer he gets to being out of office. Did anyone consider his rating might be going up because he is now a lame duck who at this point is just riding out his term? Your not likely to get negatives when everything political is about who will be the next President and not about the current one. Seriously when was the last time Obama really dominated the headlines and news cycle in either a positive or neagtive way?

You would be at a 12% approval rating also if you were elected to stop Obama, and didn't even try, lol.

the 40 teatards who obstructed the operation of government are not "congress" they are a small percentage....

and THAT is why congress' approval rating is so low.

you're welcome.

Just like Bush only went up during his "lame duck" year?

BTW- Obama is hardly lame duck, the proper use of that phrase is during the time after an election is held (in this case the one in November) and the current officials just have to finish their term.

People use it nowadays for anytime a president doesn't have total control over Congress.

The man has less than a year he is lame duck even if you don't want to admit it. Yes Bushs rating went down because things were actually happening in his last year in his case bad things nothing is really happening in Obamas either way so he creeps up a little something negative happens his numbers will creep back down. The fact is Obama is pretty much irrelevant he has one more moment in the sun at the Democratic convention and that's it.
