Obama to Ask Congress for New Anti-Terror Authorization

From the article:
Obama has justified the U.S.-led coalition airstrikes against Islamic State targets in Syria and Iraq by using a 2001 authorization approved by Congress for then-President George W. Bush in the wake of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

The new authorization, designed to replace the 2002 congressional authorization for the Iraq war, would reportedly allow the deployment of special forces and advisers not bound by geographical boundaries, but bar “enduring offensive ground forces.”
We already have all this. So what is this really about?

I noticed this is a three year authorization. That gives a chance for another Bush in office and a war in the Middle East.
