Obama Spending Freeze Lands on Hill with Thud - The Note


In other words, it is falling flat on it's political face.

From what I understand, the administration increased spending in almost all of the departments they are now freezing in the last year.
It looks like the spending freeze assures that those departments will be frozen at the higher amount of spending
It looks to me like the spending freeze is just that, freezing spending at the higher levels.

It sure isn't what it sounded like at first.

I am all for CUTTING spending, but this move does just the opposite, it freezes the budgets at the higher levels.
