Brilliant political move. Going to force a vote in congress before middies. GOP incumbents must support the president. Going to vote "no?" Nope. Now Dem challengers can say, "We'll you voted to support the Presidents plan...and I support it too." Incumbent Dems get to cast a " get tough vote" before middies and corner GOP challenger, "So you don't support bombing ISIS , or you want to put boots on the ground?" The second option is unpopular with public, so challenger must concede support for presidential plan and takes issue of Democrats standing with a weak president out of the equation. Brilliant.

a little bizarre to believe a bombing campaign will have an affect on that conflict when we used the same tactic previously that accomplished very little in return when we also had 100,000 combat troops in support on the ground.
