NYT Siena poll: Trump Leads in 5 Critical States as Voters Blast Biden

Then what happened with the 2022 election?
As I said, the 2016 polls were actually fairly accurate in that Hillary had about a 2% lead over Biden and that is about what the results were. National polls are fairly useless in presidential elections. It is the swing state polls which matter more. In 2016 those swing state polls were roughly 50/50 and most everyone just assumed that Hillary would win those 50/50 polls. They were wrong.

LOL. You can dissect many poll results down to more samples being taken from Democrats than from Republicans.

A random poll does not seek to sample 50 percent Democrats and 50 percent Republican

That would be pointless

?????????????? You mean the election where Republicans took back the House?

An election that polls claimed would be a Republican landslide with Republicans taking the Senate, more Governorships and over 40 House seats

They lost the Senate, lost Governorships and gained only a five seat advantage in the House

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm, you poll 1250 people and you find 650 were Democrats and 500 were Republicans and 100 were others. Then you remove some of those votes so it tallies a total of 1000 with 450 Democrats, 450 Republicans, and 100 others. Then you have a fairly balanced poll. But, thanks for admitting that the polls do lean left.

I don't remember those polls. Perhaps you could post them to prove your point.

Just out, and not looking pretty for Biden. Looks like he's going to need to start a war to stay in office.

Voters in battleground states said they trusted Donald J. Trump over President Biden on the economy, foreign policy and immigration, as Mr. Biden’s multiracial base shows signs of fraying.

does the problem

This is the problem with the Big tent philosophy not really having a platform that stays put. As world events press upon the populace creating various unforeseen tensions between special interest groups the Democratic platform has absolutely no pliability because of their totalitarian approach to divisive issues. They're stuck solid in their position and unable to move in a direction to recapture their base. Currently they're losing blacks and the North American Jews. They have Also grossly underestimated the strong religious tendency of the South American and Mexican immigrants that they are pinning their hopes on.

I'm still waiting for your proof that polls showed a Republican landslide. Do you have that proof or not?

Based on current trends, Republicans will likely gain between 30 to 35 House seats, and come away with a one or two-seat advantage in the Senate. This outcome would flip both chambers of Congress to GOP control,
