This is another piece from Maureen Dowd, the longtime liberal NYT contributor.
It will be another one urging him to get out, that will be lost on the Biden's and his inner circle, who will continue to claim Biden is the smartest person in the room, and sharp as ever.

When my mom got into her 80s, we had to deal with periodic medical issues. Fainting. Falls. Broken bones.

Luckily, she was in good stead with the local rescue squad because she faithfully attended their crab feast fund-raisers.

Each time, my siblings and I would move heaven and earth to get her home from whatever hospital she had landed in.

In 2003, I tried to talk one emergency room doctor into releasing her after 11 hours.

“I’ll let her out if she can tell me who the president is,” the doctor said.

What is the matter with libs that they waited until 4 months before the election to notice Sleepy Joe's Senility?

Everyone else has seen it for years.

And its not just "age". President Biya is doing a tremendous job in the Tremendous Republic of Cameroon at age 91 and will be seeking reelection next year.

I think Biden will drop out but not until after the democrat convention. He might do it before then, but if he does then then you're looking at a brokered convention that could be very messy and maybe embarrassing for some. Plus, the result could be uncontrolled by the party bigwigs, at least in part. But if Biden waits until after the convention then it's the bigwigs that make the call for who becomes the nominee.

But apparently there is still the question of whether Biden gives up the fight and quits. It might depend on what happens at the convention, does he get popular support from the rank and file democrats and believes he is the people's choice? Does he follow RBG's example and hang around too long? I think it's a 50-50 deal, maybe he quits and maybe he doesn't. And there's another unknown factor here, and that is his physical health and strength. Given his age and the pressure he's under, he may very well suffer a stroke or weaken enough to realize he cannot continue. And that can happen at any time IMHO.

If it is a race against time, Biden lost a long time ago.

Joe Biden is a true blessing for pres. Trump!

Not at all. President Trump is only running because of what a fuckup Biden is. Trump would be engaged in other activities that he would enjoy more, like hosting Wrestlemania again, if he didn't have the patriotic duty to rescue the country.

I disagree. After the convention Biden is the official nominee and Harris is the official VP.

If Joe drops out then, Harris names her VP, period, and Joe gets nothing for dropping out.

If Joe gets a "Golden Parachute" from Soros or oligarchs he walks away with $50m or so and could care less what happens next. Harris would probably be the nominee to keep their "$220m War Chest". That is how I see it.

Time is against them, they have to certify a candidate around Sept. 14th in Virginia.....Tic-toc leftist dems. ;)
Ohio's deadline is 8/7, and their convention is 8/17-8/19.

Their "virtual convention" to nominate Joe could happen any day.

Donors would not be happy, which is why nothing is happening.

I don't believe that Harris automatically becomes the presidential nominee if Biden quits. Just because she is the VP now does not guarantee her place on the 2024 ticket, and she very well might not be on the ticket after the convention. She might be replaced by somebody else that the democrats would rather see in the Oval Office if they win in November. Cuz there's no way in Hill that Biden can serve another 4 years, I ain't seeing that.

True, Harris is not automatically the nominee, However, she is black enough for the democrats to fall in to racial civil war if she is not chosen. Race is all. Merit and ability are nothing.

Poor Biden, the democrats took his 90 million allowance like he's a "little boy" :abgg2q.jpg:

Just think for a moment if the debate never happened. Media would have continue to lie, Biden would have continued to lie about his condition and Liberals would have continued to lie and deny Biden has a serious issue. BUT you had the debate and 50 MILLION people saw Biden's condition. :)

I think that America's war against Russia is going to become the biggest deciding factor by far.

The question will become, which of them can make the war work in their favour?

Trump is already committed to blaming America for starting the war and has also stated that America is to blame.

Can Biden bring Americans together by blaming Russia?

or

Can Americans unite together by becoming an antiwar movement?

Is MAD going to be the thought that will be on all of the minds of Americans?

It's starting, and Russia isn't helping the situation with the Cuba business!

Biden isn't going to race against that sort of time. That takes some serious thinking!

When did we or Russia declare war on one another?

When did we or Russia declare war on one another?
Did you want to know when 'exactly'?

I think the official time will be when the Turkey/Europe/Cuba crisis repeats.

There's just no way around it folks:

Putin's/Russia's/China's latest tactic is in taking the position that what is good for America to escalate, is also good for them to escalate.

We're going to get around to talking about that in not too long!

It would be a slap in the face to her personally

And yes, she would play the race card

But I wonder how strong her support is even among blacks?

It would be easier for biden to win without Harris on the ticket

So we haven’t?

How’s trump blaming America for a war we haven’t even declared yet?
