Still, it's sad to see New York failing to step up to their commitments as a sanctuary city.



New York City now has more than 61,000 people in its shelter system, including thousands experiencing homelessness and thousands of asylum seekers who have been bused in over recent months from other parts of the country, according to the mayor. He said more than 17,000 asylum seekers have been bused to New York City from the southern border since April of this year.

DeSantis, couldn't stand Abbott getting all the Trumper attention for it, who also has presidential aspirations for 2024.

So he went to Texas, to find some new illegals of his own to ship out from Texas, to Martha's Vinyard....where Obama's home is....knowing that would get him good press and up what Abbott was doing.... Hiring planes from a company that one of his administrator knows, and a woman to trick and coerce the LEGAL ASYLUM SEEKERS, awaiting their court dates, from Venezuela, on the list for refugee seekers allowed to seek asylum, to Martha's Vinyard, an island with NO SOCIAL SERVICES that theses asylum seekers needed....nor interpreters but a high school boy who volunteered to do his best.

He did all of this, with Florida tax payers money, allotted to deport to other states, illegals FROM FLORIDA....not living in Texas.

FOR his own personal, political, gain.

No it wasn't. Florida has a $12 million line item in their 2022 state budget for the exact purpose of transporting migrants out of the state. Most of the DemoKKKrat state legislators voted in favor of it, too.

Was it? I had read it came from a fund the Florida legislature bill they passed, $12 million, allotted to ship illegals in Florida, to other states? Maybe the legislature used covid funds to allot to this new bill??? Or I'm wrong?

New York is a sanctuary city and should welcome the migrants with open arms.

They were not illegals. They were here legally, seeking asylum, documented here and awaiting their immigration court date.

Venezuela, Cuba, and I believe it is Afghanistan or maybe it is Haiti?, but 3 countries where the people are in distress, that we allow to seek asylum....about 30% of these designated groups of refugee seekers, will be approved by the immigration court, the others will be sent back to their country, if not approved by the judge.

They are not here illegally, until they have their court hearing and are DENIED refugee status, and skip town before they are shipped out, from my understanding.
