The initial assertion of the OP is that "There is no there there." Or more specifically, President Trump has been indicted and is being tried for his efforts to conceal a "crime" by arranging to have a certain female stop talking about a tryst that Trump claims never happened. (There is no law in New York prohibiting extramarital sex, nor is there any law prohibiting NDA's with compensation for compliance).

But the DA and prosecutor have yet to identify the "crime" that was supposedly concealed. The best they have come up with is the "crime" of claiming the NDA consideration as a campaign finance expense, but even if true, that would not be a "crime" but rather a summary offense - misdemeanor - for which a fine would be imposed. Further, it is a not a "crime" over which the New York court system has jurisdiction; it would be a Federal matter.

And the DoJ looked at it but decided the case was too tenuous to pursue it.

That's it. He is being charged with a nonsense "crime," and the trial is nothing more than teeing up this non-crime for a brain-dead NYC jury to convict him of, knowing that after they do convict him - which they surely will - it will be overturned on appeal. The sole objective is to saddle Trump with the burden of being a "convicted felon" during the Summer general election campaign.

Sadly, the Leftists who post here are either too dimwitted to see what is actually going on, but they see it, approve of it (applaud it), and don't give a fuck that the criminal justice system is being manipulated to slander a man who, if the polls are to be believed, would be elected President TOMORROW if the election were to be held immediately.

I have not read a single comment from.even one person on youtube a forum or other social media stating "I am visiting New York for vacation!" let alone suggesting they are moving there. New York has lost its glow and the U. S would be much better off if their influence on the Union was decreased significantly.

I hate to break your itty bitty heart, but you need to stop reading and linking to FOX News. Trump's behaviour in court is really turning people off. The more they see of Trump in Court, the more sane, reasonable people think he's bringing it all on himself with his own behaviours.

Trump's asshole behaviour in court, and his treatment of the prosecutors, judges, and juries is really turning voters off, just as it turned the jury off in the E. Jean Carroll trial. Adults saw Trump's angry toddler behaviour, and realized he was bringing it on himself.

Trump could stop the entire "Hush Money" trial today, if he wanted to. He could plead guilty, because we all know he IS guilty, and go back to campaigning.

What Bragg has to prove as the second crime or cover up of a crime, or attempt to commit a crime... is the payment was for campaign purposes that Trump Org reimbursed Michael Cohen, and was Trump personally aware of it, and of it covering up Michael's crime, again....of which he was already convicted for....

Trump does not have to personally commit the second crime, it can be The falsifying business cover up crime, was Cohen's crime being covered up, and still make the falsifying records crimes felonies instead of misdemeanor crimes.

This trial has several more weeks to go...

And Bragg has to prove a lot more before this case gets a guilty verdict... Bragg knows that....this stuff is just support for Cohen's testimony to come, cuz he's considered a shady witness.

I never sought this trial, I'm simply a narrator of opinion I've read, and bystander! This trial to me is a nothing burger crime,but a crime none the less, if committed.

my concerns and trials I believe were important to take place before we voted, was the Smith cases, 1/6 election subversion and the Classified documents case, (and the Georgia case) where the evidence and facts could benefit us voters with pertinent information, one way or the other, before we voted.

Hillary and Obama campaign finance laws broken were NOT the same, they did not involve falsifying a separate corporation's business records....

Their official campaigns made the mistakes and broke the campaign laws, Trump's crimes did not involve his official campaign making a mistake....they are not charged or libel.

It's the campaign finance felonies that Michael Cohen was convicted of and sent to prison. Donald Trump was an "unindicted co-conspirator" in that case, which his own DOJ thought was a felony that Trump was involved in.

Trump has made much of the fact that neither Cy Vance or Bragg pursued this case before Trump left office. Trump said they "passed on it", but that's a lie too. Several DOJ prosecutors in the SDNY have made public statements, and/or published books saying that Bill Barr ordered all investigations of Donald Trump, the Trump Corporation, and the Trump Family members be shut down.

Now Trump is trying to claim that these charges are only being brought now to stop him from running for President. No, they're being brought now, because nobody was allowed to investigate before he left office.
