Nuclear Plants in Irma Path Sparks Fukushima Fears

Some people can't think of outside the box issues and this happens to be one of them which could easily occur. We'll see how much you think obama and Clinton will save you during a nuclear plant meltdown esp. if they are in a few states that it takes place lol

Two South Florida nuclear power plants lie in Irma’s path. Are they ready?

Thanks for reminding me.

They will be shut down if there is any danger. Fukushima didn't get shut down because there was no storm. It was a tsunami.

Shutting them down will certainly reduce the danger a lot, but I don't think it will remove all danger.

The problem remains that Nuclear is the only power source that is not dependent upon weather, and produces virtually no greenhouse gasses.
