I don't think selective banning of anything addresses the issue. The issue here is a combination of social experimentation (engineering if you will), aggressive behavior modification drug use, social media manipulation, and questionable reporting on violent events. Medically and emotionally compromised individuals are committing crimes and use available resources to accomplish whatever drives them. Group punishment won't work, or we could solve inner city violence by banning blacks or gang members from owning guns (or knives or baseball bats) another failed policy that is not enforced because of social engineering. The NRA is correct.
