1. Democrat officials have endorsed this openly Marxist candidate: Mamdani stands for abolishing private property, socialis/communism, anti-Semitism, and racism.

And a Dem Senator said this should be the direction of the party.

2. Asked in several threads if Democrat voters would refuse to vote for this party if this is its agenda, only one....ONE...said he would not vote for it.

Do you ever get tired of building up your strawmen? Mamdani is a proclaimed Socialist, not a Marxist. I need you quote him saying his is for abolishing private property. I needed it on a policy statement, part of a platform., hell, just a quote from a speech. That would be Marxist. The rest of that screed is just total bullshit. Support for the Palestinian cause, condemning some of Israel's actions, those are not anti-Semitic. Mamdani has promised to fight "real" antisemitism and greatly expand hate crime investigations and enforcement. Nor has he demonstrated any racism. If anything, vowing to fight the increasing unaffordability of New York City, and specifically, for immigrants, would seem to be the antithesis of racism. It is, after all, the diversity of New York City that has made it great.

Well that is because most people no you for the fool you are. I doubt a single Democrat would vote for your strawmen, abolishing private property, controlling all aspects of our lives, and no, mandatory lockdowns during Covid is not "controlling our lives with a communist intent, it is called public health. You ever hear of quarantines?

And here we go, constructing your strawman, now you play hero and beat this non-existent strawman up. China is not communist. Sure, they are headed up by a Communist government but market forces are a significant factor within their economy, just like they are in Russia and were in the former Soviet Union.

Is this in reference to me? If so I want to reiterate I have literally never voted for a democrat in my life, nor do I consider myself one. My thread history pretty well demonstrates my claims I think.

I believe a lot of Democrats would move away from the party if it openly embraced literal abolition of private property. I think the Democrats here are too charged up and hostile to give you enough grace to entertain your question honestly though.

They don't want to approach openly and honestly, possibly because they don't believe you will return the favor. I don't know.

So, you are saying that Trump can just ignore the Constitution because he is appointed by God? Seems to be the thrust of your screed. Yes, evil does exploit human stupidity. We have seen that in Hitler and Trump. And in people that support a child rapist and pathological liar. The rise of Mamdani is a direct blowback about the fascism of people like you.

While he claims to be a socialist, he pushes Marxist ideas. As far as your never seeing him advocate abolishment of private property the following is a quote from an interview he gave:

"And I think faced with these two options, the system has hundreds of thousands of people unhoused, right? For what? And if there was any system that could guarantee each person housing, whether you call it the abolition of property or a statewide housing guarantee, it is preferable to what is going on right now," he explained.

Did you claim that there is no “substance” in this OP?

Why did you lie?

A series of indisputable facts leading to an undeniable conclusion.

1.Most of us are old enough to recall that claims that the Democrat Party is socialist/communist were greeted with vehement denials.

2. About half of the Party’s supporter always came from the interchangeable terms socialist/communist/Progressive/ etc. Professor Kengor said this: "The progressive left, and the liberal left, while not themselves communists, share many of the same sympathies, such of redistribution of wealth, and worker’s rights, nationalizations of industry, etc, but are not quite as far left as the communists, and would not go to the same lengths as the communists to achieve their goals. This does not mean, though, that the help of these dupes is not necessary in order for the communists to achieve victory. Even at their peak, in the ‘30’s, the Communist Party of the United States never had more than 100 thousand members: so deception of the ‘dupes’ was critical. 3. Push came to shove when Communist Bernie got more votes than Hillary in 2020, and had the nomination outright stolen because the establishment Democrat couldn’t allow Marxism to be their brand.

4. In a recent thread we found that only one Democrat voter said he would reconsider voting Democrat depending on their agenda (Why Are There No Democrat Intellectuals?). Communism is just fine.

5. Openly communist/Marxist candidates are openly running under the Democrat banner, and winning.

“The socialist movement led Zohran Mamdani to victory.

….easily the most important factor in Zohran’s victory is the movement that Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) has built in New York City since the Bernie Sanders campaign in 2016. I want to stress two elements.”

The Socialist Movement Led Zohran Mamdani to Victory

Pundits have emphasized Zohran Mamdani’s videos and charisma and Andrew Cuomo’s weaknesses in Mamdani’s victory. But easily the most important factor in that victory is the movement that the Democratic Socialists of America have built in New York City.

So, today’s Democrat Party is not an American party, and if you vote Democrat you are casting aside any American values, heritage, and identity…….comrade.

I know you are a Democrat, but of the Left, or the Communist Left.

I trust you are brave enough to answer this question:
If the direction of the Democrat Party, nationally, mirrors that of Mamdani, Bernie, and AOC, will you vote Democrat?

Mamdani proposed increasing taxes on white neighborhoods –
A document on his website explains the policy idea to “shift the tax burden from overtaxed homeowners in the outer boroughs to more expensive homes in richer and whiter neighborhoods.”

Mamdani is already leaning into his socialist views, telling CNN that he has “many critiques of capitalism.
….he would eliminate fares on all city buses
......he plans to address the cost of food by creating city-owned grocery stores that will pay no rent or property taxes, buy and sell at wholesale prices from centralized warehouses and partner with local vendors to keep prices down.
.... raise NYC's minimum wage to $30

"Pressed on whether New York’s Jewish population could depend on him to protect them with antisemitic attacks on the rise in the United States, the candidate answered emphatically: “Antisemitism is not simply something that we should talk about."www.the-independent.com

Zohran Mamdani’s political positions, from Trump and ICE to Israel
Progressive shocks front-runner Andrew Cuomo in New York City mayoral race with stunning upset

... won the New York City primary race because of his support for Palestine,

I am looking for thinking Democrats, who understand what WaPo wrote:

The Post agrees, and they give the entire game away in their headline: Zohran Mamdani’s victory is bad for New York and the Democratic Party.

Where do you stand?

She beats your ass evertime.

Show a little humility. I know PoliticalChic does not rub your nose in it. Even though it is apparent to the rest of us.
I need you quote him saying his is for abolishing private property. I needed it on a policy statement, part of a platform., hell, just a quote from a speech. That would be Marxist.
New York City socialist Democratic mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani is being ripped for advocating “the abolition of private property” — as a video resurfaced of him touting the radical position this week.

“If there was any system that could guarantee each person housing — whether you call it the abolition of private property or you call it a statewide housing guarantee — it is preferable to what is going on right now,” Mamdani said in the video shared by RNC Research.

Uh no, it's called a blatant violation of Constitutional Rights.

Get it right.

And here we go, constructing your strawman, now you play hero and beat this non-existent strawman up. China is not communist. China's huge infrastructure boom was all driven by the communist party. That was to promote economic growth. Now, that policy is failing. Additionally, the infrastructure was constructed with so many issues, it is starting to fail. I doubt I'd ever ride a bullet train there again.

You’re not presenting facts. You’re presenting ideology masquerading as fact, and the more important question is why do you need the enemy to be that evil to justify your position?

1. “Most of us remember when Democrats denied being socialist/communist.”

Mainstream Democrats support mixed-market capitalism, not state ownership of all production. Words like “communist” are used here not as accurate descriptions, but as weapons, a way to paint your opponents as inherently un-American. That’s Cold War cosplay, not policy analysis.

2. “Progressives share sympathies with communists.”

Sharing some values, like wanting a safety net or worker protections, doesn’t make someone a communist. By that logic, Dwight Eisenhower, who expanded Social Security and built the interstate highway system, was a Marxist. This “guilt by adjacency” tactic is intellectually lazy and historically dishonest. Kengor’s quote is propaganda, not scholarship. Saying “dupes” doesn’t prove people are dupes. It just assumes your worldview is the only valid one.

3. “Communist Bernie got more votes than Hillary in 2020 and had it stolen.”

She wasn’t even running in 2020, and in 2016, she won both the popular vote and the delegate count. If your narrative needs fiction to work, that should tell you something. Also, Bernie is a democratic socialist, not a communist. There’s a massive difference, and you know it. You just don’t care, because precision gets in the way of fear.

4. “Only one Democrat voter said they’d reconsider depending on the agenda.”

That’s not data, it’s anecdote, and if you think your thread proves all Democrats are communists because one anonymous person didn’t express doubt, you’re not arguing; you’re proselytizing.

5. “Openly Marxist candidates are running and winning under the Democrat banner.”

Yes, a handful of DSA-backed candidates have won local or state elections. That doesn’t mean the party as a whole is Marxist. A few libertarian anarchists also run under the GOP. Should I say that proves Republicans are an anti-government insurgency, or do I owe them more intellectual honesty than that?

Your closer “The Democrat Party is not American.”

Here’s where the mask slips. This isn’t about policy. This is about identity, purity, and exclusion. You’re saying half the country isn’t really American if they disagree with you. That’s not patriotism. That’s factionalism taken to a dangerous place. Historically, every authoritarian movement starts by deciding who really belongs. Calling fellow Americans “comrades” as a slur tells me more about your insecurity than your argument.

If your ideology depends on demonizing tens of millions of citizens as enemies of the nation, maybe it’s not actually about loving America. Maybe it’s about fearing change, and maybe what you’re calling “truth” is just an excuse to stop listening.

The city of New York has someone running for mayor (a democrat) who is all that she described.

What part of that isn't getting through.

Saying all of New York is Like him is wrong.

However, he has to have some support to have ccome this far.

In the context of an essay, "substance" refers to the essential content and meaningfulness of the writing, rather than just its form or style. It implies that the essay has depth, is well-supported, and makes a significant contribution to the reader's understanding of the topic.

So you were simply lying because you couldn't find any way to disagree with the OP?

When will you be changing your name to "Lying Scum"?

Since Mamdani is a Shia Muslim, I tend to agree he is likely not trained in pure Marxism. But it does reinforce his identity as a pure socialist in which a central government controls and administers everything in the life of the people of a nation.

But calling Mamdani a 'communist' is certainly kinder than your side calling Trump, Patriots, MAGAs "Nazis", "fascists", 'dictators' and worse.
