In a rare display of bipartisanship John McCain and Mitch McConnell are now part of a growing list of prominent Republicans insisting on an investigation of Russian hacking and/or interference in the election of 2016. It seems this issue is not going to go away soon. It also seems Trump's Russian ties run deeper than he is letting on. Should make for a very interesting 2017!

  1. McCain calls for committee to investigate Russia hacking: ‘There’s no doubt’ of interference

Senate Republican leader McConnell supports investigation into Russian hacking during election.

Senate Republican leader backs investigation into Russian hacking

Republicans Break With Donald Trump, Call for Investigating Russia’s Election Hacking

Republicans ready to launch wide-ranging probe of Russia, despite Trump’s stance

They know this is the WRONG side of history that they don't want to be on! This Russian hacking shit runs deep - and they know it.

Democrats will now find a way to short circuit this......They don't want the investigation......They wanted the show.....The show is over and failed thus their zeal diminishes

100% Wrong Manonthestreet! Democrats have been screaming for a formal investigation into this from the beginning, now with GOP help, we'll finally make some progress. Sorry if the truth hurts! :bye1:

In fact it's alrdy begun see rdean thread why repubs want the info released......Too funny

All this comes too late, the EC votes tomorrow and ReTrumplicans will do as they always do, fall in line. What's good for the party? Who gives a damn if we're being sold out to the Ruskies?

See rdeans thread your party is now making excuses not to have the investigation because it will harm national security.....

Disclaimer: McCain is a war hero. That said he's an asshole. A big ******* asshole.

That old bastard McCain will spend all the time he can trying to take out Trump. He will delight in doing so.
He's getting all mavericky again so he will be loved and adored on all the Sunday talk shows. Bloody old RINO.

He's been Obama's bum boy all these years. He really needs just to cross the floor and become officially a Democrat.

Oh yeah, John McCain and Lindsey Graham have been leading the charge on this. This scenario plays out horrible for a Donald Trump Presidency regardless.

It is confirmed that Russia helped Trump win the election by doing a cyber attack on the United States to trash his political opponent.

So how effective will a Trump Presidency really be?

1. Republicans will turn their backs on Trump. They won't work with a Russian backed President--LOL (Which is probably why senate and house Republicans have been avoiding the Trump tower, as if it has been infected with the Ebola virus.)

2. The Joint Chiefs of Staff will have ZERO respect for Trump. Those supposedly 200 admirals that endorsed him, have already un endorsed him. He was a joke as Commander & Chief, now this only confirms to them that he really is.

3. You have right now, investigative reporters working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to find collusion between anyone within the Trump campaign or anyone he has been associated with to do a Cyber attack on the United States to find more of Hillary Clinton's emails. If they find it, it's called TREASON. Making it a 1000 times worse than Watergate.

Trump is going to have to do 3 daily tweety shifts just to keep up with the criticism.

Trump himself publicly encouraged it.

And the weirdest thing of all is we're not hearing too much from Senate and House democrats on this issue. It's like they know something and are perfectly content with Senate Intelligence Republicans handling this.

Hillary had her leak murdered with good enough evidence for a civil court. And that is probably where this will end up.

That has nothing to do with it dumbass. It was a constant flow of wikileak emails that did the damage.

The point is, it is confirmed that Russia, a foreign adversary of this country, did a CYBER ATTACK on the United States, to obtain Hillary Clinton's emails to help Trump win.

It is a FELONY in this country, to hack into any private or public computer, that comes with prison time. For someone to take the risk of getting caught, there will ALWAYS be a REWARD for doing it. This isn't some 400 lb. fat guy sitting on his bed doing it.

If they find there was collusion within the Trump campaign, any of his advisers, staff, or any associate of Donald Trump they will call this Treason against the United States, which is punishable by life in prison.

So let me get this straight, the Russians somehow convinced the Dem's own base of voters in MI, PA, and WI to vote for Trump? The Russians convinced Dem voters in MI, PA, and WI that Hillary is a liar and corrupt? Because those three blue states full of Dem's are what gave Trump the win. Its absurd.

Who gives a shit what those establishment hacks want ? Only Democrats.

Is this supposed to be real? It looks like you posted a cartoon mocking the left's crazy conspiracy ideas!

There's no conspiracies about it. Trump and his supporters have offended and insulted several Republicans in the senate. Mitch McConnell stated that they would dump Trump like a hot rock. John McCain has nothing to lose, and was told by Trump and his supporters, that he was no hero after being shot down in Viet Nam only to be tortured for 5 years. Then add to it, Ted Cruz, who had his wife and father attacked with vicious lies, and was called a liar at least a thousand times, while you all cheered it on. Marco Rubio, Rand Paul & Lindsey Graham were also attacked by Trump and his supporters. So while you "think" you've got a 51 senate majority it's really 51 minus 6 or 7--LOL

On the house side, you tried to primary Paul Ryan and went out on vicious attacks against him. So yes Establishment Republicans are probably on the Democrat side of the isle right now, and NONE of them are charging in here to "save" his greatness--LOL

Furthermore, John McCain and Lindsey Graham will always be patriots to this country first, and put partisan politics on the back burner when it comes to Russia. In fact, most of the Republican party, especially senators and house members would do that. It's only Trump's physco babble interpreters that will defend him, and deny evidence of Russia doing any hacking. You probably still believe it was some 400 lb. fat guy sitting on his bed doing all of it.--LOL

None of them are going to bend over and kiss your asses now.
