Hollywood Hills are now on fire, towards Hollywood Blvd., and so far I have heard it called the Sunset Fire.

The Eaton Fire and the Palisades Fire currently bracket either side of the famous Hollywood sign. So far this is not an urban fire, long line of fire trucks seen on the way.

Probably not much rebuilding gonna happen, fire insurance will be too expensive, even if you are lucky enough for a payout from losing your home in this one.

Sunset fire is over. Current status. Neither Palisdes nor Eaton spread last night which is good and Eaton is up to near 50%. Winds are expected to die down after this morning and they will probably nail both down at that point.

I would favor solid logs treated with fire retardant for exterior walls, with metal siding. Maybe from the 'thinning's' of nearby forests.
