So then, I am either part of the "unintelligent masses" or those "with even less integrity"?
Less fighting words, still nothing but unsupported personal attacks.
Here is something you might not have heard before.
Trump's Trade and Immigration policies were crafted to serve the interests of the American Middle Class.
That was far more appealing to US, than liberals who obviously hold US in complete contempt.
So, we voted for him.
That you have to invent secret "reasons" to explain this, has more to do with YOUR intelligence and integrity than ours.
A lot of people just like Trump because he's a toxic Twitter troll. Those people are genuinely idiots.
To those who actually think he has good policy, um ... I would say the execution is questionable, but there's nothing wrong with wanting secure borders, etc.
The standard Conventional Wisdom, crafted by the liberal media and pop culture and political correctness, is that wanting secure borders is a Racism.
It is the sort of "thinking" is why those who "like him because he's a toxic Twitter troll" like him.
And it is a completely valid position.
There is a difference between liking the policy and thinking the man's behavior is suitable for the presidency. I don't hate Trump, but to me it's like I literally have a clown as my president, and I'm sitting here wondering, "Why is the president wearing face paint?" I don't get it.
You are missing my point.
Political Correctness makes "secure borders" proof of "racism" and that is a real issue in this country, and those that support Trump for his challenge of it, are not, as you claim, "idiots" but people with a valid position.
Depends. You can be for support of secure borders for a racist reason (I think brown people are inferior and I don't want them in my country), or an econmic reason, or security reasons, or just population reasons. The reason for your support of an issue is independent from your support of the issue. Just saying, "I support secure borders" (which, I feel like, should be the default), tells nothing about one's reason for said support.
Now, if you're on Twitter screaming, "Keep those goddamn beaners outta my 'Murica!!", then we now know your reason. Trump himself has basically said, "These are bad people; we need to keep them out", in so many words. If he just said, "we need to protect our borders because we need to enforce our laws", I think people, myself included, would be fine with it. The delivery, the execution, the message ... all this stuff matters.
