California receives a significant share of federal funding through the state budget, with $153 billion in federal funds included in the enacted state budget for 2024-25

So, IMHO Trump and the gop congress, should tell CA they need to make do with what they get.

When they start to go on about having to suspend services like Fire. EMT, & Police just say, "well, isn't that what you wanted?"

Let's just see what the CA politicians decide to prioritize and have them live with their decisions.

As a Virginian I don't what to have to pay for CA's continued dumbfuckery.

Seems like a legitimate gripe to me. :dunno:
CA should have to live with their choices.
How much water infrastructure would the money spent on the bullet train to nowhere build?

Congress Republicans need to reverse the money and help those without insurance rebuild if they so choose to. There are lot's of things they can do as well to help the people and bypass Newsom and Bass. Two complete morons that seem to be in the Joe Biden IQ of 65 range.

Oh, the rest of us will end up on the hook for it, make no mistake about that...

Indeed, it's best to let the gop congress know early on that a CA Bailout will not be well received by those that voted for them.

No use to throw money at a poor leadership problem hoping it will ever get better.

LOL, just like solar. The majority of these funds will find their way into the rich. The commoner might get a crumb off the table

.

Tell them to cut off the illegals and use that money to bail out taxpaying Californians.

Wait till the class action lawsuit get started. California will need more than a bailout.

So who didn't see this post coming?

So who didn't see this post coming?
Because it is an obvious truism.

And very well written!

Easy to feel sorry for the people of California, like that woman lambasting Newsom for there being no watter in the hydrants. But how many times did she vote for Newsom and lawmakers like him? How many times did she turn a deaf ear to her fellow Californians who tried to warn her but were ignored because they were the dreaded MAGA?

Sorry Californians! That bed you made awaits.

Meh, if you don't have the insurance to cover your loses then whose fault is that?

Can't get insurance in your hazard fraught AO then you might want to move to where you can, or yeah, suck it up.

Put you up a "I Want a Free Ride in Life" sign and stand there.....See how long it is before you are given one.

Homeowners in HI, FL, and SC received $43,000 from the Feds to help them rebuild. That should suffice in CA.
