I know this is a barbaric concept but the Middle East isn't very good farm land. I would expect they have to import the vast majority of their food. We don't we tell our so called friends like the Saudi's that they must stop their madrasas or not food. Tell Iran and Syria to stop funding terror and the insurgents in Iraq or no food. It would probably not work because it would take world wide cooperation but it would be a peaceful way to get peace on in the Middle East.
