What's the matter, Joe...don't want to defend Joe Biden's academic "honor" anymore? The truth is...Biden's a moron. Always has been...always will be. The fact that he's been in the Senate since before Watergate doesn't prove he's intelligent...it simply proves you don't have to BE intelligent to be a Senator!

My point (that seems to escape you!) is that Joe's contention that Biden must be intelligent because he's been in the Senate for forty years is wishful thinking on his part. I'm curious, Mertex...on what do you base this alleged "intelligence" of Joe Biden? His academic record? Truth is...he was an abysmal student...both as an undergrad and in law school. I would make the case that Joe Biden has stayed in the US Senate for all these years because it's a job that someone with a rather "pedestrian" intellect can do.

I'm sure you are curious, because you probably haven't really checked him out. Let's just say that he's way more intelligent than George W. Bush, did better in school than GW and has been earning experience year after year. Biden has an impressive resume. He got rid of Robert Bork back in the 80's. He accomplished the Violence Against Women's Act. He's smart and articulate and he's an expert on foreign policy. He's definitely capable of assuming the presidency in an emergency, which is really the most important criteria of all.

Hell, when I was living in Aspen, Colorado years ago we weren't allowed to rent any vacation properties to anyone from the Kennedy family because they always trashed them and then refused to pay damages. The litany of bad things that the Kennedy clan has done over the years makes the Palin's look like saints.
