Anyone but the Kennedys would be doing felony time for leaving the scene of a fatal accident but the Kennedys used to own Mass. Can you believe how callus a guy can be (according to his own story) by leaving a girl to die a horrible death by drowning and not even call the emergency squad or the police? He ended up in his hotel room the next morning dressed for a formal breakfast. What did the A-hole think was going to happen when they fished his car out of the drink with a dead girl in it? Personally I don't think Teddy was involved in the accident. I think he slipped out of the car when he thought he was spotted by police necking with the babe and he told her to take the car to the mainland and he took the ferry. He couldn't confess to adultery so he made up a story on the spot when h found out that Mary Jo didn't make it across the bridge and he got tangled up in the lie. It did ruin his chances for the presidency though.
