If Venezuela had the military capacity to do so, I wonder if you'd feel differently about this if trump had been indicted in Caracas on war crime charges for the boat bombings and then extracted from the US by the Venezuelan military to stand trial?

Venezuela is one of the richest countries in the world in terms of natural resources, so with proper management there will be no need ofr humanitarian assistance. President Trump has been very careful not to put US troops in danger, so my guess is that the US will support the parties that are pushing to make Venezuela into a liberal democracy. Now that the Maduro dictatorship is gone, it is the responsibility of the Venezuelans to manage their country.
