Venezuela is one of the richest countries in the world in terms of natural resources, so with proper management there will be no need ofr humanitarian assistance. President Trump has been very careful not to put US troops in danger, so my guess is that the US will support the parties that are pushing to make Venezuela into a liberal democracy. Now that the Maduro dictatorship is gone, it is the responsibility of the Venezuelans to manage their country.
If I am a cartel head, I would stay low and STFU for a while.

their own oil will end up funding their recovery, its not going to be us sending them food stamps and welfare checks. This was also a National security issue. Venezuela was becoming a new outpost for terrorists, Iran and China in our hemesphere. This also weakens the drug Cartels infrastructure in general.

You have not heard me complain of the invasion of Venezuela and the capture of it's authoritarian leader. I simply have no illusions as to why we went there and did it.
