I got wise and stopped watching it over ten years ago only popping in once in a while to watch ram games played in LA hence my user name.since I thought once the Rams came back to LA I would love the NFL again. when they left,I still watched it but I turned to the chargers as my new team rooting for whoever played the rams on Sunday to always win.

I always thought once the Rams came back to LA it would be a dream come true for me.i always dreamed that when they were in stank louis.however as I said,the game is tainted now and far more corrupt than it was before they left LA,I will never give them a dime again.same with MLB baseball,it is much more corrupt than it was 20 years ago.

With my limited knowledge of the related stuff, it's my impression that the NFL preseason is mainly the device by which the teams evaluate new players and old players, to see which ones they want to carry forward on the roster. The lack of a preseason...will it be a hardship to the rookies? How could it not?

But the problem goes deeper than that. Football is Exhibit A among the activities that no sane person would engage in during this pandemic. If one person gets the cooties, then everyone on the roster will be infected within a few short days. How can you socially distance in a huddle? When blocking and tackling? In the locker room?

And when (not "if") this happens, the entire season will be compromised, not only for that team but for every other as well.

I just don't see how the season can happen.

I agree. The whole idea of playing football during a pandemic is lunacy. All told, I must own 50-60 pieces of fan gear from either Div I schools or NFL teams. It will be the one sport I truly miss. But I'd rather not hear stories of players getting sick and possibly dying. Wait until there is a viable vaccine.
