NFL Continues to Suffer Massive Numbers of Empty Seats on Gameday

NFL Continues to Suffer Empty Seats on Game Day

How long will NFL keep this up?
Once the season ends, that the NFL is going to pick new recruits that will honor the anthem. And they'll get rid of the original players. The contracts that the players get is not promised them so many seasons. NFL's contracts can be torn up at anytime. There is no permanent obligations.
Mostly right. Sunk money and the CFL/JFL will slow the process and until the idiot commissioner is fired and the players union contract is corrected this is not going to stay cured.

This might be the stupidest thing I have read on this forum, and that is saying a lot. The NFL is not going to get rid of all the players there now and start all over again.

That’s what they get for balckballing Kapernick!

Lol! You truly are clueless and helpless.

The people so called boycotting for Cuntpernick are losers, like yourself, and don’t go to games due to lack of money.

No the boycott is in direct response to the kneeling during the anthem.

According to who? You seriously think the kneeling thing is making a big difference ? Please!

Nobody blackballed that idiot.
He obviously knew his career was tanking and decided to throw out the race-card to deflect from his flaws.

If u can’t see he’s being blackballed then you are an idiot .
He's only half- blackballed.

Truth is, he was a below average QB. The Colin Kaepernick tracker

He should buy a mirror. Look at it everyday. Then he will know why he is not playing anymore.

the Fn government was paying the NFL millions to make teams look "patriotic"

goddamn players can stay in the locker room and save taxpayers big chunk of change

In 2015 attendance for week 9 games totaled 908,385, last year it was 893,692, this year that total was 946,198.

For those not good with math, 946,198 is a bigger number than 908,385 or 893,692. In fact I had to go back to 2012 to find the last time the NFL had higher week 9 attendance.

A new report from two Republican senators slams the Pentagon for paying $6.8 million to the NFL and other sports leagues for patriotic events.

Arizona GOP Sens. John McCain and Jeff Flake slam the activities as “paid patriotism.”

The pair examined 122 contracts between the Pentagon and various sports leagues, including $49,000 for the Wisconsin Army National Guard to sponsor performances of “God Bless America” at Milwaukee Brewers games; $20,000 for the New York Jets to honor one to two New Jersey Army National Guard soldiers as hometown heroes at each home game; and $1,500 to honor five Air Force officers at an LA Galaxy game.

“All these major league sports teams do a lot of good work for the military, a lot of good work, that dwarves anything in these contracts,” Flake said at a press conference promoting the report.

“What is upsetting is that when you see activities like this that people assume when they go games are paid for out of the goodness of the heart by the owners and the teams, then to find out the taxpayer’s paying for it, it kind of cheapens the whole lot, and that’s simply not right,” he said.

I see that we has a Canadian on board. They are going to get rid of those that are high risk players. But they are going to pick fresh recruit and have them sign a contract that they will honor the flag and the anthem. Those that doesn't signs, will not be elected. They cannot afford taking anymore risks. I know in your country, Canada. That they has and extra yard on the football field. Sounds as if y'all are competing with us.

NFL owners consider requiring players to stand for anthem

Your denying it has had significant effect is what is silly.
My honest belief is that people, myself included, have been struggling with watching games the past few years as the NFL is changing the game trying to make the scores higher.
As well as their HUGE investment in fantasy football that has had a seriously negative result in that people are not interested in watching actual games, just the stats of them.
The kneeling, IMO, was the last straw for many. Including myself. I stopped watching because of it....and I have not missed it.

DIRECTV Drops NFL Sunday Ticket Price to $160

Don't knowz why dez whites be cancelling da package

The season is half over and they dropped the price from 281 to 160. And you think that is because of ratings? :stupid:

Did it ever occur to you they dropped the price from the the full season price because the season is half over?

This is the second time this season that DIRECTV has dropped the price of the pay package for which it paid more than $1 billion over eight years for the exclusive rights.

Each NFL team drafts 7 new players from college, that a few undrafted guys is all the new talent that comes into the league each year.
Also, in the NFL they do not "elect" players, they draft some out of college and sign the rest to contrats as free agents.
Have you ever even seen a football game.
