Let me this straight. For decades DSA Marxist Democrats have gerrymandered ebet Blue City and Stare they control so that Republicans are either few to none in the city and State legislature or Congress.
They control the election boards and the elections in the State of California, Illinois, Massachusetts, New York and more and suddenly they are clutching pearls and yelling Bule murder because Texas wants to redistrict their electoral districts.
Truth be told California may lose seat in Congress especially after ICE deports illegals and Mexicans self deport themselves, while Texas, Florida, the Carolinas and other states pick up seat in Congress.
The simple truth is that California, Illinois, Massachusetts, New York and New Jersey are losing population because of high taxes and lack of jobs.

While I agree we shouldn't be redrawing maps for partisan reasons, Newsome apparently doesnt understand the stakes of the game. If you look at the last electoral map, Republicans hold more state legislatures than dems do. If we want to do the "one up" game, dems wont like how it plays out, because repubs have more states than dems do..
