Do you really think that? They have done 57 miles of sort of advance preparation. Land cleared. I think a partial bridge built.There was never meant to a train
I think roughly 1/4 of the cost of the train was to come from the federal government with California paying for the rest.
The original plan was for the project to be completed by 2020.
For the math challenged, it is now 25 years later. Newsom has been working on it for 16 years as Lt Governor and Governor.
Newsom whines that they were just getting ready to start laying track. But as is posted above, he doesn't even have all the permits necessary to complete the project yet.
