My personal history taught me that when America gets mixed up in wars, that citizens like you will tire of it fast and in the end it was just a waste of our time and effort. I want this country to stay out of wars but if we get involved, act like it is a real war and go to the enemy and defeat them. I am sick of citizens being pussies over assholes in other countries involving us in them to begin with.
He has accomplished more in the last month than any POTUS that I've seen since Reagan---maybe even more than Reagan. Give him a chance. I am in favor of making Ukraine pay for any aid that they get. I am not in favor of giving Zelensky any security guarantees. That POS has tried to extort the US over his tenure with Biden's assistance. I don't want to give him anything. As for Putin, I have no use for him either, but it is up to his own people to do away with him unless he gets aggressive with one of our NATO allies then all bets are off.

I didn't spend time in Europe in my time in the military. I was in SE Asia. That misadventure cost me many friends and for what? Dominoes? Bullshit. As for tiring of it--I am a believer that if you go to war, you go to win. There are no rules. This liberal BS about feelings sucks and it costs American lives unnecessarily. Have you seen videos taken in Russia in the past dozen years? They have rebuilt Russia. They have modern stores and lovely places to see. The citizens will not dare try to remove Putin. He is credited for making Russia great again. You are against Zelensky and I am against Putin. I am not against Russia citizens however. Why care about NATO and be willing to engage in war for them when we can make our good friends in Ukraine fall in love with us too?
I was ahead of you in the Army. As I said to you earlier, this is a great conversation and I know you are reasonable as I am myself. I am fortunate to have got out of the Army prior to the real combat in Vietnam. I was pissed when I got home we had americans whining we were in it. But I was also then a Democrat and we had Kennedy then Johnson leading us. I have personally discussed this war with men from Vietnam and some had been officers in their military. I learned our press bullshitted us a lot at the time. We had signed a treaty and took off. Then the goddamned media kept claiming the Vietcong beat our troops. I will not tolerate that kind of lying. Our troops only followed orders and their memories to me deserve not to be called losers.

Again, I don't have any use for either of them. Putin is a Russian that has a vendetta against the west. Zelensky is a tin horn dictator that is enriching himself on the extortion of the US. The person he has dirt on is gone so that gravy train is gone.

I don't care what the media says. If Trump is successful in stopping hostilities and accomplishes a lasting peace there, I will take that as a win.
