If red state governors and mayors want to be magnanimous, they can offer to re-home NYC's few remaining attractions (such as their museums and flagship retail establishments), but the city as a whole is cooked.

NYC may or may not be doomed. But it is absolutely a rock solid lead pipe cinch to be going through some very horrible times in the very near future.

Initially, it may not be a mass exodus. But what begins as a fairly sizable outflow will have economic consequences and that, in turn, will turn the outflow of residents into a torrent. With that, we can expect a massive need for the city to raise taxes (to the extent allowed by law). Thus, there will be more of a hemorrhage of residents and more of a loss of the tax base. Companies doing business in NYC will find it imperative to relocate.

And the dominoes will keep on falling.

It isn’t just a pox on the City and its residents. It will eventually cause damage to neighboring cities and states. Wall Street (one of the main economic centers of the entire world) will probably need to relocate, too.

Prediction: Mandami is going to prove to be a wrecking ball less because of his Islamist philosophy but more because of his socialist thinking. As the City starts to visibly crumble along the lines I’ve just described, along with the easily predictable lowering of the quality of life there, there will come a day where the NY State Governor will be called upon to remove Mandami. And that is when some shit is truly going to hit the fan.
