Are New Yorkers America's biggest idiots ? If the polls that show the unelected governor, Kathy Hochul leading (although Lee Zeldin gaining), they could well be just that. Crime is way out of control, and Hochul's soft on crime policies can't be dismissed as not playing a part of it. Case after case of crime, including violent ones, show REPEAT offenders showing up in court and then being released again, without any bail being required.

Released on recognizance ? That word come from the word "recognize"..Well if there is anything to be recognized about these repeat criminals, it is that they can't be trusted to go back out on the street and be law-abiding. Quite the contrary, you can be almost positive that they will commit crimes again, with New Yorkers being victimized, and sometimes killed, or nearly killed.

This was exactly the case in the attempted murder of New York Congressman, and Hochul's election opponent, Lee Zeldin, who was attacked by a guy with knife going to his throat. Luckily Zeldin is a US Army combat veteran, having served as a paratrooper with the Army's elite 82nd Airborne division, and knows a few things about self defense. His attacker was arrested and released the next day.

In another case, a young mother, Keaira Bennefield, 30, was fatally shot in front of her children Oct. 5, less than 24 hours after her estranged husband was released from custody without bail for allegedly beating her. The killer, Adam Bennefield had a previous conviction for kidnapping another woman at gunpoint, and had allegedly abused his estranged wife.

New Yorkers have a chance to vote for Lee Zeldin, and show that they have a brain, and are not just a bunch of programmed robots set up to vote Democrat, no matter what. If they don't, they'll be America's biggest idiots.

Getting back to the TOPIC, so you support releasing murderers like Bennefield being released with no bail needing to be posted ? Do or don't ?

Ho hum, Yup, centrist Democratic think tanks, have a habit of finding that per capita murder rates are higher in red states than in blue states.

Here is their problem >>>
