Single family homes favor a patriarchal family. You know, a family with a mother and father, the only families not in poverty that can afford a single family home.

The goal is single parent homes where families live in poverty

Your post is a tad misleading. They are not getting rid of single family zoning, they are talking about getting rid of single family only zoning. Single family homes can still be built.

Libertarians have always viewed zoning laws as a violation of property rights.

Nobody is going to build their home next to an apartment complex that inevitably turn into a crime ridden shithole.

Zoning laws were created locally so people could protect their investments. Multi-family homes are opportunity for lower income people to move in, and trust me from experience, lower income people are what destroys nice areas and cut property values by half or more.

I wonder how many libertarians are willing to lose their largest investment and continue living someplace where gunfire on the street is a nightly thing. Hypocrites.

Make it more inviting to be on the dole. People work hard, save for years to buy a house in a nice suburban neighborhood. It's a reward for your years of hard work. Along comes government and they put you in that very same neighborhood. Your reward for living off the dole and not working anymore than 20 hours a week if that.

Socialism/ Communism dictates that all people be alike. This is one more step towards their goal.
