New York City Had Its First Weekend Without A Shooting In 25 Years

Could it be they never had the 2nd amendment or the 1st???
They have a lot less homicides.

And they are less free..freedom comes with a price comrade

.
Freedom isn’t good for much if your dead.

So you call it "living" in a country like North Korea who has non existent gun deaths?

All countries compared for Crime > Violent crime > Gun crime > Guns per 100 residents

North Korea is under a dictator. I mean countries like Germany, France, Denmark, Japan... freedom and low homicide rates.

So a bunch of small piss ass white countries (and one full Asian country) with no blacks

Ok do that here.

Israel has a huge Arab population and are practically at war. They still have a much lower homicide rate than us and have strong gun control.

No...our murder rate is higher because those countries have criminals who don't commit murder.......that is changing. As Europe imports violent, 3rd world males, and as Europe's social welfare state creates young males without fathers to raise them, their violent crime rates are going up.
Yes a lack of guns seems to help people murder less.

Nothing you posted is true, factual or based in reality.... more guns = less crime....that is a fact.

We went from 200 million guns in private hands in the 1990s and 4.7 million people carrying guns for self defense in 1997...to close to 400-600 million guns in private hands and over 17.25 million people carrying guns for self defense in 2018...guess what happened...

-- gun murder down 49%

Gun Homicide Rate Down 49% Since 1993 Peak; Public Unaware

Compared with 1993, the peak of U.S. gun homicides, the firearm homicide rate was 49% lower in 2010, and there were fewer deaths, even though the nation’s population grew. The victimization rate for other violent crimes with a firearm—assaults, robberies and sex crimes—was 75% lower in 2011 than in 1993. Violent non-fatal crime victimization overall (with or without a firearm) also is down markedly (72%) over two decades.
Crime rates dropped after we got background checks. They have jumped up a little as concealed carry is getting more popular.

Wrong.....

Background checks don't stop criminals from getting guns....not even in Europe...

Crime went down right after background checks. Bounced up with concealed carry.

Wrong, again. You need to read slower, and sound out the words...then you might understand that as more Americans now own and carry guns, our gun murder rate went down 49%....showing that more guns does not equal more gun crime.......

Your entire argument is more guns would mean more gun crime, and the exact opposite happened....you have no argument. The facts, the truth and reality show you are wrong....

The Brady Bill, which created a waiting period for handgun purchases and background checks, became law in 1993. The Assault Weapons Ban, which prohibited the sale of some semi-automatic weapons, expired in 2004 after 10 years on the books. In a February, 2007 interview Giuliani was asked about them both and said: "I was in favor of it because I thought that it was necessary both to get the crime bill passed and also necessary with the 2,000 murders or so that we were looking at," annually in New York City at the time.

And again, tell us what banning Assault rifles did to lower the handgun crime rate in New York City? Tell us how background checks kept criminals who don't go through background checks from getting illegal guns they can't buy, own or carry?

His policy of locking up violent criminals, stopping thugs who did minor crimes and running their names for arrest warrants, and stop and frisk lowered the crime rate.....

US has by far the most guns in the world. Our homicide rate is 4-5x higher than countries with strong gun control.

Oddly enough, I have seen it shown here many times that such claims are inflated by including just a few very small areas. Take them away, all liberal strongholds with heavy gun control, and our gun crime figures drop precipitously. That said, if gun control is so effective, what is it doing for Detroit and DC? I'll say it again--- you can never eliminate all the guns, so far better to teach gun safety and responsibility. People taught to respect guns generally are your lowest instance of gun violence. Gun violence has risen in direct proportion to the Lefts efforts to make them an object of unavailability, restriction, scorn, fear and hate.

These idiots like Brain Dead can never answer the simple questions as to why the murder rate in the UK is higher than it was before all their gun laws started being passed in the 60's

And they will not answer the question as to why the state with some of the laxest gun laws in the country has a lower murder rate than the state with the the strictest gun laws in the country
The U.K. never had a huge gun problem, They stopped it from becoming a big problem. We didn’t try to stop it and our homicide rate is 4x higher than theirs.

No...Britain never had a big gun murder problem even when they allowed their people to have hand guns. After they banned and confiscated hand guns, their gun crime rates went up, not down....in fact, Last year the gun crime rate in London was up 42%, and up 23% across England and wales....

Meanwhile...in the U.S....as more Americans own and carry guns...our gun murder rate went down 49%, our gun crime rate went down 75%, and our violent crime rate went down 72%......violent crime is sky rocketing all over Britain....

"A city of 8.6 million people — not a single shooting for three days," Mayor Bill de Blasio said on Monday, according to CNN. "Let's thank the NYPD for what they've achieved."
Funny that crazies always point to gun control laws.

We have very strict muder laws has that curbed murder? We have very strict fraud, kidnapping, stealing laws has any of that stopped? We have laws against illegal drugs, even a war on drugs, how many drugs are now unavailable?

Nothing changes because of laws. Criminals are till going to do what they think they can do. Sweden has very strict gun laws yet they are fighting the import by criminals of fully automatic weapons and hand grenades.
Great Britain has always had very stringent gun laws, yet people are still shot and London has now been forced to ban knives in public.

Detroit has strong anti gun laws. How well has that worked out? But for the first time New York City has a few days without a shooting and some one calls for gun bans as if the laws that have been on the books for years suddenly created a gun free utopia.
Our homicide rate is 4-5x that of countries with strong gun control. Strangely a lack of dangerous weapons everywhere seems to lower homicides.
And yet countries like Greenland still have higher homicide rates then we do.
