Zone1 New potential sites for Book of Mormon people LiDar into existence

Ancient Mayan cities began to be discovered and documented by explorers in the 1830s, with prominent figures like John Lloyd Stephens and Frederick Catherwood leading expeditions to map and record Maya sites in Central America; this marked the "rediscovery" of the Maya civilization for modern researchers. . So, this was after the Book of Mormon was written and published. Also, it's doubtful Joseph Smith knew about the findings in South America. The findings by Stephens and Catherwood weren't published until 1841. Smith dies in 1844.
My spell checker may have confused you. I meant to write 'explore' not 'export' the Midwest. The Lewis and Clark Expedition took place about when JS was born.

Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site

From my studies, the mounds were found by several people before and after Joseph Smith. But, archeological digs to find the buildings they were covering didn't happen until the late 1800's. So, Joseph Smith would not have known about a people building these structures.

None of these findings are indications of a Lamanite civilization as described Joseph Smith.

Coincidence is not causation or confirmation.

Were skeletons of horses, etc,, or metallic weapons of any sort found there? I can answer that for you.

Now, no one, including me, knows if these will show any information that proves The Book of Mormon true. But, and a big But, This also should open up hearts to at least give some desire for you to read The Book of Mormon and find out through faith that it is also the word of God. Of course, double-minded people will be negative immediately because they don't want people to believe in Christ.

This what Mormons call the "burning in the bosom"--it's supposed to be proof that the ramblings of Joseph Smith are true. If you "feel something" it must be true.

Good readers, Christianity does not work like this. The Gospels present what Jesus DID. Where He went. To whom He spoke. Jesus Christ does not depend on fallible human feelings to prove His truth.

You continue to be blind and deaf. Language changes. Words change. The words you read in the Book of Mormon were written so you could understand today from what was around 2000 years ago. The animal he saw with the seer stones looked closer to what a horse today looks like. So, the word horse is used to help you understand. Again, read www.jefflindsay.com and stop boring me and you making yourself look stupid.

Accusations by Mormon MAGAs are always confessions.

You have no archaeological proof for Mormonism actually existing in the Americas.

Jeff Lindsay is an apologist. End of story.

That is contrary what the Bible teaches. Why do you resort to lying?

I wish Mormons would stop claiming that the Mound Civilization were created by Jewish descendants.

If you do find an ancient battlefield where thousands died , and you have remains of chariots, horses, metallurgy of high skill, let me know.

Have you read The Book of Mormon? Doesn’t seem like it. Have you actually studied ancient Americas archaeology? Doesn’t seem like it.
The fact is, no one today knows where all this took place except we know Moroni went north to hide the writings in where today is New York.
There are people who have studied different locations and have their own personal theories about locations. What you are requesting is that people don’t have the right to voice and write their opinions. Satan loves that!

I have read it through several times. "Second Nephi" bores many people, but I found the review of Isaiah by Jacob somewhat interesting. It may be the best religious historical fiction in American literate, in my opinion.

Thank you for your comment about the location of BoM happenings. The continuing arguments between South, Central, North America, the Heartland, etc., is fun but useless in the long run.

You are triggered in that you don't like being questioned. Satan loves those like you who try to stop other views. Please don't be what you condemn.

Now, have you read Jeff Lindsay’s detailed information on this.
See, what I don’t like as well is making conclusions when very little is actually known and understood about a subject. Climate change comes to mind. So does the topic of archeology. We are finding new civilizations with LiDar and just old fashion digging all the time. Yet, you have made a conclusion already. Do you also lack faith too?

Jeff is an apologist making mountains out of mole hills. When you find an ancient battlfied with the artifacts as described by your prophet, Joseph Smith, let me be among the first know.

You have made conclusions based on very little information and have misread some of it.

Facts are for anthropology and history, faith for religion.

I could care less if he's an apologist. And, so should you. Why? Because he's addressing your questions. Yours and many others and has so for years now. Do you think at topic should only be addressed by one side of an issue? James Chapter one says if anyone lacks wisdom let him ask God. In the instructions of this, he also says not to ask with a double mind. Nor ask unless it's with real intent. I suggest you asking for artifacts and animals is asking with a double mind and without real intent to find truth. Do you really think I haven't read all the anti-Mormon literature over the 47 years I've been a member? Before computers and the internet, the largest compilation of anti-Mormon literature was held at the library on the campus of Brigham Young University, Provo. I was there 1977-1980. And, it was open for anyone to read it as well.

Debates have two sides. That's why debates happen. Yet, you only are interested in looking at one side. You are of a double mind and have no real intent to know and understand the truth. www.jefflindsay.com Are you afraid that you may find out you have wasted decades of life believing the adversary of Christ?

No, it's you that has made conclusion based on very little information and are misreading most of it. You also are a double minded person who only is willing to look at one side of facts. In a debate, there are two sides. Here is the other side. www.Jefflindsay.com

No, Cougarbear, you are making assumptions based on faith, not facts.

What we have found does not include what Joseph Smith wrote including steel made weapons, great battlefields, so on and so forth.

All you are doing is surmising based on faith and hope, not facts.

No anthropology teacher, instructor, or professor would accept the BoM as 'proof' of anything only hope, perhaps, of what you would hope to be.

Lafaytette and I are asking for facts, not surmises and wipe aways, because you don't have, have not found, what Joseph Smith wrote in the Book of Mormon.

You are only guessing.

You are ignoring the facts that words and meanings have changed over the many millennium. You reject faith so you reject the FACT that Joseph used seer stones from the Urim and Thumim to do some of the writing of the Book of Mormon. He saw what he perceived as steel in his understanding. Might have been another form of metal like brass or bronze. You are hung up on the wrong things and refuse to acknowledge terminology changes. I used to say when things are good, they are good. Then, we went through a phase where we said things are bad if they are good. You are so caught up in empirical evidence that you cannot believe with faith. Much like Doubting Thomas couldn't believe the Lord really had risen and was resurrected until he appeared and Thomas could handle him and see for himself. So, I get that there are sorry people like yourselves who are like Thomas. It's okay to question everything. But, it's not okay to be superior to others who do not share your stiffneckedness.

I believe in faith. So now you from critical logic to magic stones and wizardry to argue your point?

OK. Go to.
