I know how dictators became dictators. And the same patterns are there with Trump.
You have Trump attacking the electoral system... without proposing something better. He's telling everyone that if he and those he supports don't win, then it's not legitimate.
He's promoting gerrymandering.
He's pushing laws to get ID required to vote in order to stop people from voting. If he's so worried about the legitimacy of democracy, he'd push for a different electoral system. But he's not.
Now, this stuff has been around for a while, especially the first two. But the blatant way Trump is doing it makes it much worse than the bad stuff people did before. Before they at least pretended there was democracy. Now Trump's acting like an African dictator.
He's massively corrupt.
He sued Paramount with zero chance of winning. He won $16 million for a case that should not have been brought. Why? Because he threatened Paramount's takeover or merger of another company. So they paid to get the merger through.
Trump then said that money would go to his "presidential library", which will be a HOTEL.

So, he shakes down a company and abuses his powers so he can get a business venture free money. How corrupt can you be.
And the reason he sued them? "I don't like the way you've edited this report on what Kamala said". Saying that the media has to present things in a way he likes or he'll sue.
His conflict with the media is so big, it has a wikipedia page.

He's taken away Pentagon press credentials for anyone who criticizes the armed forces. In a FREE SOCIETY you need that criticism. So now the press conferences are like "So, President Trump is super amazing and his military policies are also super amazing, how can we lick your ass more?" "Well, great question there person who'll say whatever we want you to say...."
Trump calls things he doesn't like "fake news" and yet lies all the time. He has RFK going in front of the Senate and lying about articles on vaccines, and getting called out on that, and nobody cares because it's just another fucked up day in Trumpland. In a real democracy RFK would have been fired for huge incompetence.
But we know that being incompetent isn't an issue for Trump. Being a yesman is the ONLY thing that's important to Trump. And they're getting attacked in Congress because they're mostly ******* USELESS.
Trump is an embarrassment. I could write a 20,000 word paper on this with EASE if I had the time and thought that MAGA morons could actually read more than a few sentences.
