Never said that I stood behind his policies. Most of 'em (speaking as a career military man who retired in 2002), were FUCKED. I spent a lot of time enforcing the policies of presidents I didn't agree with, but I still did my job.
NEVER did I say that I wanted any of them to fail.
You're missing my point old friend.
You thought his policies were were "F*****D" so you certainly didn't wish for success of policies you thought were wrong-headed.
And when you were no longer A.D. you worked against those policies and hoped for Bush to fail in implementing his agenda.
That didn't mean you were hoping the country failed.
That was my point.
First off.....what the **** makes you think that you know how I would think? FAUX Noise and their take of how "liburuls" would respond?
I'm not a liberal. I'm an Independent. I decided that in 2004 when I didn't want to vote for Bush Jr. again.
Even though I thought his policies were fucked, I still wanted him to make the right decision, turn it from a long drawn out process into success. He continually made the wrong choices, which is why I thought HE was fucked.
As far as not being AD anymore? Might wanna check into how the military works. For the first 10 years of retirement, I'm in the bunch that can be called back, after the reservists get activated. I've only been retired for 7 years, so I've got 3 to go yet. Oh yeah....since I've retired, I haven't volunteered for any grass roots thing, or done anything to work against the policies.
Shit.........I was hoping that the Chimp Jr. could turn it around prior to leaving office.
I gave up after July '07, because I knew he wouldn't change.
And.........my fondest hope afterwards? That this country would survive even in spite of what Bush Jr. and Cheney did.
Nope. You read me wrong. I've not known you long, nor do I consider you anything other than someone on a messageboard.
If you want to be able to call me "friend", you've gotta shake my hand first.
