Depends. Time to time my two year old grandson pretends he's a dinosaur and growls and stomps at me and I pretend to be scared and run away. If he was trying to kill small animals with his teeth then we'd probably have to have a chat.

I think the recommendation is to entertain them. If it's not a sincerely held belief its not going to last too long. My grandson can keep up his dinosaur act for about 5 minutes until something else catches his attention.
