Camden , Jersey city , Newark all seem very high crime ridden

Lakewood is cool and is like a Jewish mecca

Toms river is Italian ??

Over the border in The Poconos or up in Southern New Hampshire when I move from Shasta County ( Southern Cascades )

NJ is the most densely populated state in the US. Hoboken and now Jersey City are being gentrified and are in easy commute of NYC.
