No matter what our largest stellar observatories or JWST present us with, it remains a jumble of galaxies, stars, a few barely visible exo-planets and some gases. So, basically nothing new. The JWST can analyze the gases surrounding some planets to determine what their atmosphere has, but until we can actually see a planet's surface to any detail, it's nothing to new to me.

We'd already be in contact with them if it wasn't for the idiocy of the left and right in Congress.

There is a reason that Kennedy says they are the reason the aliens don't talk to us.

Our view of space is literally being blocked, not just blotted out with increased light pollution, by thousands more and larger satellites per year.

Yeah, these pictures are nice and all but are we monitoring the changes in CO2 on any of these galaxies?

If the .gov is paying for it then I see it as a waste of money..... All I know it just supports a bunch of people make six-figure salaries on my dime if that is the case.

Well shit:

NSF is an independent federal agency that supports science and engineering in all 50 states and U.S. territories.

How does those pics make my life any better?
