Zone1 New Forum on Crime, Given its Importance on the Elections

Americans’ concern for the skyrocketing crime rate is one of the major issues on citizens’ minds - more so than abortion. What about a separate thread on this topic? It is affecting everyone in major cities such as New York, Philly, Baltimore, and DC.

Crime rates are still way down compared to back when we added lead to gasoline ... you kids today are spoiled if you think crime is bad now ...

Toledo used to be part of Michigan ... so crime is a LOT less today ... it still would be bad today if Hillary didn't spend those eight years living in the White House ... "proof by graph" works for climate science, should work here as well ...

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN DEMOCRATS TAKE POWER

Did all mods miss this thread? Again, with crime the 2nd most concerning issue of voters (economy and inflation being the 1st), what about a forum on crime?

All of those requests would require a change in the filing systems, its a administration task, not a moderation task.

Now that I am in the back of the house, I can see why these types of suggestions never get made. This forum has no administration that is involved in day to day, month to month running of the board.

And they won't get made, ever, until there is another major upgrade.

I remember when there was the suggestion to rename the "Tea Party," forum to something like the "Freedom Caucus, or Congressional Interest Group Sub-Forum," which seems a rather reasonable suggestion, until you understand the magnitude of reorganizing the filing system on the software, from a systems, POV.

I appreciate all these suggestions though.

Indeed. Gunny, when drunk, gave the keys to the racist troll & bigot JBukema who immediately demoted all the staff, made Sunni Man and some other 'tardlettes admins and blew the place up. DanK had to come in and clean that one up but then other admins played games afterwards and c_k came in from the Forum Foundry... to demote all general membership administration.

Why? Because they can not handle the powah. . . which is why there never again will be an admin culled from the gen forum.

Not much power at the Admin level anymore anyways. When all that ancient history was happening Forum Foundries had a VERTICAL organization. They had their OWN boards, sold and installed forum S/Ware, created and managed boards for clients and the Admin staff was FORCED to moderate and/or train moderators.

Now it's more horizontal. It's strictly monitoring the updates/servers, managing the cash, taking a REALLY LOW VOLUME of requests from mod staff to make a few monthly changes, handle any incident legal issues, securing the back-ups, monitoring the tuning of system performance, ect.

At the bottom of all these crime issues are Law and Justice issues. Raping of the justice system IS the root of increased crime. That and economic conditions and a pandemic.

So -- seems like Law and Justice forum is the right place if YOU want it to be. Wouldn't be an issue to create a sub-forum -- other than the fact that we already have too many forums. But the topics in there could go to Law and Justice, Current Events, maybe ever politics if they are framed that way.

Like start a series of threads with "Crime 2022" as part of the title. it's as good as making it a separate forum because the thread creation volume in Law/Justice is pretty light. The TITLES would stand out.
