From what I've read personally and in my research about the student loan changes, it eliminates the middle man (private companies).

Examples of how the money is transferred and which way.

This is the current way:

Student < Private Company < Government.

This is the way after:

Student < Government.

All the private companies do now is the job the government could of done in the first place on this issue.

Because we all know government runs things more efficiently and cheaply than private enterprise.
Go figure out why universities are opposed to this particular expansion of government.
And then go ask your English teacher why you should be sent back to remedial English for your post.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) suggested Tuesday evening that Democrats would have the votes to pass healthcare legislation if it were taken up today.

Pelosi, in an interview with Bloomberg and PBS host Charlie Rose, hinted that she could pass Democrats' healthcare plans through the House if they were brought up this week.

Pelosi says House has votes for healthcare if vote were held today

Only question is, if Pelosi has the votes, then why does the House need the Slaughter solution to pass the bill?

What was that? I couldn't hear you over your ignorance.

Of course, you don't want a serious conversation on this issue. You just want to try and bash me for my english, which is fine by the way.

You mean private sector losing the jobs that Presidential Administrations gave them in the first place?

A bit of dishonest on your part to say the least. But that's nothing new.

It's the end of the Democratic party as we know it. And the Republicans will have 4 years to repeal it. And they will do so. There is little doubt.

Well gee Xeno... the dems should be lined up volunteering to shit can their careers since it's that filthy slut pelosi and the kenyan asking them to.

You can kick, scream, and cry all you like. However, as long as you live in the United States of America, that "kenyan" is PRESIDENT Barack Obama.

What a freak'n SOCIALIST!

Why do these have to be combined to get one of the passed? Face it; the Democrat bill smells to high heaven, and the powers that be have to get it passed to save face. So they are using every underhanded trick they can think of to get it passed. I hope they finally do it. Then next January we can start to fix their mess. And hope it isn't too late.
