They either don't care or are to stupid to get the necessary information to make a responsible judgment on who should be our nominee.
You can blame the media all you like and they make a fantastic scapegoat but at the end of the day i still believe in the conservative principle of being responsible for ones own action and that includes making sure you're informed enough to cast a ballot based on facts and not hyperbole.

I blame the office holders. They were elected in 2010, 2012, and 2014 to stop Obama and roll back Obamacare. They promised and promised they would just that.
They failed.
They cut deals
They listened to the media and convinced themselves they would look bad if they opposed Obama.
They failed their constituents and now they are reaping the harvest of that failure. People are mad for good reason. The party of low taxes and less government became the party of go along to get along. Only one member stood up to the Dems and the Establishment. And that man is running for president.

Gay marriage can be repealed
You can round up 11 million Mexicans and send them home
A wall will stop illegal immigration

Partly true, but for the most part, we are sick of the GOP telling us "if you only put us in power" and when we do, they don't deliver.

For the past couple of years, the constituency has been telling the GOP to get rid of these immigrants and put up a wall. They told us they can't because the Senate is Democrat led. So we give them leadership in the Senate as well, and what was their response? Immigration reform.

Nobody was screaming about reform anything, we were screaming about immigrant removal. But once in power, we got "Well gee...... you know...... that's not practical..... maybe fine them, maybe pay some back taxes........ you know........ maybe let them continue to work here........

Along comes Donald Trump, his main platform was KICK THESE ILLEGALS OUT OF HERE AND PUT UP A WALL!!! And people responded to that message.

We are sick of electing officials that get in office and then cozy up with the Democrats at the bar during happy hour. We don't want them to be friends with the Democrats, we want them to be friends with us. Don't give us a dog an pony show by passing bills that would never get past DumBama's desk like rescinding Commie Care. Show some guts and defund the MF.

When we have Democrats in power, we have to do things the Democrat way. When we put Republicans in power---we have to do things the Democrat way because our representatives fear the media and government shut-downs. We expect these so-called leaders to fall on the sword for us--their voters. Instead, they get into office and focus mainly on how to get reelected and keep their job.
