I don't like Hillary due to her pro war stance, but there was nothing remotely illegal about her private email server, scrubbing drives, or smashing cell phones.
There was never a subpoena.
She was never accused of violating any law, but was just being requested to satisfy the Freedom of Information Act in case someone in the future wanted to do archive research.

1. She had classified documents on her unsecured server. (That China hacked.)
2. Her emails were subpoenaed.
3. FOIA requires her to delete ZERO documents. (Otherwise there would no point, Einstien.)
4. Cell phones were government property with FOIA information on them.

Other than that you had a good point

1. She had portions of documents later classified, on her server because they had been sent to her as emails. That is not illegal or insecure.
2. Her emails were never subpoenaed by any legal agent for any criminal investigation. There was a congressional subpoena, but congress does not have the authority to subpoena files of a member of the executive, only congress members. Nor were there any charges files that would have justified a subpoena. She also says her emails were deleted before they had been requested.
3. FOIA does not at all prevent her from deleting personal documents in any way. It was her personal email server, so most of the emails would have been private and illegal for anyone else to ever see.
4. Cellphones were her own private property. She had been given a government cellphone, but she preferred to used her old Raspberry instead. And when she got a new phone, she correctly destroyed the old.

While I can imagine it could be possible to use regulations, permits, fees, licenses, etc., to turn markets into monopolies, it is still the big companies with all the capital that are at fault. For example, the health care industry is clearly charging more than double what their services are worth or should cost. And it was they who eliminated competition by making midwives and other nonprofessionals illegal. But clearly single payer is about the only way out of the hole, by greater collective bargaining representation.

Not my place to butt in, but we tried deregulation from 1880 to around 1910, and it did not at all work.
It was the worst period in history of company towns, fraudulent price fixing, private security beating up workers, low wages, etc. If not for Teddy Roosevelt, there likely would have had to have been another revolution.
