And just when things are getting spicy enough to get into a shooting war.

The MSC is what makes our Navy the envy of the world, because those ships provide underway replenishment. Without that, we can't operate everywhere we need to.

A lot of these ships or types of ships used to be fully commissioned with full naval crews and often had permanently installed weapons systems also manned by USN sailors. Then they went to mostly civilians, and now this.

We don't need a Navy anymore, or a military for that matter.

President Harris will soothe our enemies with sweet talk and BJ's.

msc uses many contract crews. dynecorps crewed our ships when we worked with msc.

sailors and captains are available in most ports for the right money or the proper destination.

May as well park em, we can't do routine maintenance on the Fleet. The better to lose gracefully.

New tech program to update military tech and make the services current. One of the projects is underwater drones, that can do the detection and surveillance usually assigned to a destroyer escort for a fraction of the costs. Other stuff being updated as well.

The Armed Forces recruitment issues would be solved quickly and emphatically if Trump were to be re-elected in November.

yes. Doing away with the Woke crap and stop putting deranged homos and trannies in officer slots will improve morale immensely.

And rainbows will shoot out of your ass.

Actually, the young people hate Trump and are pretty unlikely to want to fight for him.

The real problem is, if you are 18, and even if you have no ambition, you can get a better paying job than what an E-1 would make in the military.

Sweet evil Jesus, E-1 pay is only $2000 a month! That's only $11.50 an hour! You can do better than that working in McDonalds.

Recruiting becomes difficult in good economies.

It becomes more difficult if you keep your standards too high.

Only about 29% of youth from ages 17 to 24 meet the minimum standards for joining the military.

And ironically, they are more likely to be able to get into college or get reasonably good paying jobs, so why join the military?

War has devolved into techno economics with no incentive to win or lose. People now think a 3 million dollar missile and a few bunker busters will keep the action going and the profit line up. Surface ships are very vulnerable now with a trillion dollar carrier and it's strike force easy prey for a hyper sonic missile from 100 miles away. The pussification of the dod started with the Clinton's and is in full bloom now, and even a draft wouldn't help now with the dumbed down and woke youth.

To qualify for the Post 9-11 GI Bill so they can get into college and get reasonably good paying jobs without crushing student loan debt.

Jointed the Navy with a High School diploma, had a Master degree when I was done.

An 18 year old who wanted to work in a legal office or a court system, can:
1. join the Navy for a six year hitch,
2. get a $50 thousand bonues
3. work online for a B.S. in Paralegal Studies
4. while working in the naval JAG corps
5. discharge and go to work for premium money in a major city law firm.
