False. Putin simply wants Ukraine, as it was part of the old Soviet before the Soviet Union and it's Communist authoritarian government failed, and Ukraine sought its freedom.

The reason for Russia going into Ukraine was the murder of people in Donbass by the Kiev Regime and to stop the Country being handed over to Nato by the Kiev Regime including sevastopol where the Black Sea fleet are, would the US stand by while the Russians or Chinese took Pearl Harbour over?
