What we have are 51 separate elections (50 states + D.C.) that just happen to take place on the same day.

There is no "Federal Board of Elections"

You're wrong. In Blue states when they get Drivers license there is auto enrollment for voting. Yes there is a box you must check saying you legally are allowed to vote. They lie, nobody verifies that those who check that box are actually citizens.

I don’t believe the SAVE act has anything to do with Trump’s ideas of nationalizing the election elections. It’s simply about making sure that voter ID is instituted.

Over 80% of Americans support voter ID. If Republican senators vote this down, it could very well be political trouble for them.

Actually, we do not. We have 51 elections in the states and DC that award electoral votes. The federal government has no place in elections. That is the unfortunate truth. Try reading your Constitution please.
