The fact that we are seeing record turnout in the midterms may mean that all the polls are useless. The midterms are completely up for grabs. Of the three Republican held districts that held elections this year, Democrats won 2 out of 3 of them. In the only one Republicans held, they held it by 4 in a district Trump won by 15. In each case, Democrats overperformed the polls and the turnout was much higher than expected. Then we have the Kansas debacle where a anti-abortion amendment failed by 18 points.
