If we put an end to the flow of illegal immigration the crops won't get picked and lettuce will cost $5 a head. Even with an increase in wages there is still a shortage of labor. Many of California farmers plant less labor-intensive crops because of it. The foods that disappear from stores are then replaced by foods grown outside the US.
