Malcolm X didn't think much of the republican party. That being said, he was absolutely clear on what he thought about white liberals. The quotes are out there. Your last sentence is absolutely true. Racists do tell us who our leaders are. White liberals control black politics. You don't become a "leader" without their okay first. And when they get tired of you, they'll drop you like a bad habit. See Jasmine Crockett.
“Any time you beg another man to set you free, you will never be free. Freedom is something that you have to do for yourselves.”
Yet, here we are, almost 60 years later, still begging and protesting. And what have we gotten for it?
It's funny that we call black conservatives/republicans "sell outs", "coons" and "Uncle Toms" when the black politicians, the black boule, black civil rights groups, and black religious leaders are way bigger sell outs than those black conservatives will ever be. They're getting paid to make sure that the black vote stays in the democrat party. They get to be black faces in white spaces in high places while they do little to nothing to actually give "black representation" to the people. Access to the real power brokers is a hell of a drug. When's the last time that you've heard the NAACP, NAN, CBC or any major black organization grow a spine and speak out against white liberals in support of the black community? We hear, "what has the republican party given us?" The inverse question is, "what have we asked the republican party to do for us?" The NAACP is doing this because the democrat party told them to do this on their behalf. To keep democrat power because without it, the NAACP, the organization, has no real power or influence.
And it's also easy to "claim victory" in this scenario. There will be HS sports athletes from the SE committing to play at places like Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Oregon, Indiana, Nebraska, UConn and USC. That's a typical recruiting cycle, but the NAACP (and the democrats) will try and spin it as it's a response to what's happening now, and the low-informed people out will buy it hook, line, and sinker.
